Home Guide: Setting Intentions Workshop ✨

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

2020 - a little bit of a doozy, ya? If you’re a human with access to the internet, you have likely seen the funny memes going around that express an urgency behind welcoming 2021. 2020 was nothing short of challenging both mentally and physically for nearly anyone you ask. I can understand why anyone wanted to rush into 2021, but what I have a hard time wrapping my head around is how anyone would want to leave 2020 completely in the dust. 🌬

On January 10, 2021 we gathered virtually as a community to reflect on what we were able to overcome in 2020. We utilized breath to connect to what we survived. We acknowledged how we showed up in hardship. We felt our losses, our triumphs. We welcomed a shift in perspective to propel ourselves forward into a constant and beautiful evolution of the human experience. 🍯

The virtual gathering consisted of setting our goal-driven intentions for the future by way of reflection, meditation, a guided mindful movement practice, introspection, and a brief introduction to journaling. Below describes what you need at home to guide yourself through the workshop.

ABOUT THE HOST

Upon taking her first yoga class in 2010, Rachael quickly fell in love with the practice, completing her 200-hour E-RYT certification with Yoga Alliance in 2013. Through college, a consistent yoga practice kept her grounded and eventually led to guiding her first heated power yoga classes.

After moving to California and spending time in a fast-paced career in action sports, Rachael quickly learned how hard the 9-5 can on the body and mind. The urge to share a mindful and uplifting movement practice with others to counter-balance the physical and mental stress we endure on a day to day basis quickly came to surface.

With a handful of diverse trainings under her belt and years of experience in corporate America, Rachael now focuses her high-energy and positive personality into guiding classes and mindful movement workshops in addition to private one-on-one sessions while working in sustainability and surfing. She hopes to inspire self-love, diversity and inclusion, the practice of not taking yourself too seriously, and works to help encourage the development of physical and mental strength within each class.

SELF GUIDE

I’ve created a guide that is accessible to those who want to revisit the workshop process or to those who may have missed the session.
Be prepared to work with your 2020 calendars and photographs (for reflection) along with a journal / notebook and writing utensil (for paving the way forward). 📝

If you would like to access the PDF for the workshop, submitting your email below will
direct you to the digital download.

FAVORITE ITEMS

Practicing yoga and beginning or picking up a journaling practice shouldn’t be difficult.
While you can use any items of your choosing to get started, below are a few of my favorites (none advertised):

AllSwell Notebook | Jade Yoga Harmony Mat | Neurogan CBD Oil | Written Candle Co. | Manduka Bolster

Speaking of AllSwell, this workshop would be nowhere without the experiences I’ve had in Laura Rubin’s journaling workshops. If you want to drive deeper into your journaling practice, I strongly encourage you to explore 1:1 coaching opportunities and virtual sessions with Laura - my fairy sister.
