Brunching Around Tampa

A list of welcoming and boozy brunch spots located in in Tampa, Fla.
I hope it’s a morning you’ll never remember.
-Dining Under the Influence-

Brunch (noun): a meal that serves as both breakfast and lunch…paired with mimosas, Bloody Marys, your best friends, and eggs benny…sometimes Mom. Tampa is home to many eclectic brunch spots, but only a few are worth waking up “early” on a Sunday.
Eat, drink, and brunch hard.

1. Datz

Datz is the MACDADDY AND CHEESE of brunch spots. Along with its sweet and sugary counterpart, Dough, they conquer the brunch world. Here you will find biggity big big burgers, red velvet tower pancakes, and even a healthier fresh kale salad. If brunch were a religion, Datz would be my holy temple. Don’t forget to entertain the idea of getting a drink called SPAAA BLAHBLAHBLAH. It may sound scary, but it’ll change your life in less than 150 calories.

Datz is the best place to be on a Sunday morning. It can be a little crowded, but it is always worth the wait. Drink a Tequila Daisy for me!

2. Daily Eats

Daily Eats means business when it comes to brunch. Upon walking in, you can immediately smell eggs and French toast.  Once you’re seated, that’s when the party starts. $2 mimosas offered in flavors like cranberry, apple, and sometimes you’ll be surprised with a specialty flavor. The staff is hilarious and will entertain your buzzed behind when you’ve had one too many! Oh, and the food. The food is just wonderful. Grab one of their breakfast bowls once you’re feeling spicy from trying every mimosa flavor.

Eggs benny on deck! If you haven’t had a Bloody Mary paired with crunchy French toast then we can’t be friends, tater hater.

3. Ciccio’s | Waters

Two words: bottomless mimosas. Imagine the possibilities. For a fair price of $12, you can drink an endless amount of mimosas while you eat. Try pairing your mimosas with one of Ciccio’s yummy Fit Egg Bowls or some of their amazing oatmeal pancakes. Also, don’t forget about the other amazing drinks they offer. What is a Slamgria you ask? You’ll have to pop on in to find out!

I had my birthday brunch at Ciccio’s and, although I don’t remember much, I know it was epic. I’m sure they remember me!

4. Piquant Hyde Park

I had to throw Piquant in here for you classy broads.  I don’t understand what half of the items on the menu mean but you’ll want to eat it all. The drinks are amazingly unique and you can order anything on a croissant. I recommend it. Some menu items can be a bit pricey, but totally worth it. Challah for a dolla! Pro tip: Try to catch Piquant's brunch on the first Sunday of the month when Hyde Park does their monthly market.

5. Jackson’s Bistro

Hey, hey, brunch buffet! Jackson’s is the perfect place to take Mom and the rest of the family. It’s in the most beautiful location that overlooks Tampa Bay through glass windows. Dining on the patio with a mimosa (or five) is a must. You’ll feel like the President of the United States sitting at a table with a mimosa in one and a homemade waffle in the other. Weekend warriors only.
